Easy to learn, and get speed up.
You need to bear in mind the age of the child, some find it a bit childish!

Excellent technical exercises, pianistically arranged, easy to sight-read. Students of all ages always enjoy these, which are good for warming up as well as supporting technical development. Also useful to supplement sight-reading, and as a learning tool for transposition to other keys! Original, clear format; simple and imaginative illustrations, cleverly depicting the required skill for each exercise. Appropriately written for each grade / level.

Short little exercises to help with finger dexterity. Younger students like them as they are quite quick to learn and they can have fun playing them faster.

I grew up with Dozen a day and I am still using them in my teaching today. Excellent finger exercises and a great incentive for children to practice them as they understand that they are warming up to play the piano in the same way that you warm up to do sport.

The Dozen A Day series is brilliant for fingering technique and increasing playing speed. It also reinforces what is already being learnt. The short exercises are great warm ups!
